North Norfolk Information Centre

Construction is currently taking place of the new environmentally-friendly and innovative North Norfolk Information Centre in Cromer, which should be open for business in July 2008.

The flagship scheme with an iconic design is intended to provide information for local people as well as visitors. New toilets are also part of the scheme, to replace the existing toilet block on the corner of Mount Street and Bond Street, which will be closed once the new ones open.

Solar energy and underground heat source pumps will provide 60% of heating needs for the building, which will provide public access to the Internet, promote local and District-wide events and provide some Council services such as the sale of parking permits and bus passes.

The project is funded by North Norfolk District Council and the European Union European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
