Youth Games

An event that neatly dovetails into Active Norfolk is The Active Norfolk Youth Games. Each year in June an annual competition is held, involving many sports for children with disabilities. The events included Athletics, Zone Hockey, Swimming and Tennis.

Activities are organised before and after the Games to encourage children with a disability to participate in sport and then join a club following the Games.

The Games' objective is to introduce youngsters into a sport, providing them with probably their first taste of real competition. They will then be offered suitable exit routes (via clubs in the County) so they are able to continue in the relevant sport.

If you wish to play or have a child that wishes to take part this year then the Leisure and Cultural Services Section on 01263 516002.
