Noel Gant was born in Sheringham and attended Sheringham Primary School and later The Paston School. A period of twenty four years in The Royal Air Force where he obtained a Physiotherapy degree ended in 1979 when he returned to live in Sheringham. Taking a contract with the N.H.S. he established a community physiotherapy service for North Norfolk.
As a Councillor he sits on Planning and Regeneration Committees and is the Councils representative on the Sports Association Committee.
Brought up as a Socialist, as this principle no longer exists, Noel sits on the Sheringham Town Council completely independent of any political persuasion. His objectives are to support and work for the town to which he belongs by representing the community as a whole.
Noel is ably supported by his wife Margrit during a long standing relationship.
