Development Proposals for North Norfolk
North Norfolk District Council have announced that it will shortly be consulting on two major planning documents which will guide future planning decisions for the next 15 years.
One contains North Norfolk area-wide options, for example preferred policies for dealing with providing affordable housing, protecting our wildlife habitats, barn conversions, encouraging tourism and supporting our town centres, and also WHERE in North Norfolk development should and should not go. All of this information is contained within the Core Strategy document.
The second document, the Site Specific Proposals, pinpoints actual sites within towns and villages where development such as retail, housing, car parks etc is preferred.
The Public Consultation takes place for six weeks commencing midday on Monday 25 September and closing midday on Monday 6 November.
A series of informative exhibitions is planned and more information is available on the North Norfolk Local Development Framework website www.northnorfolk.org/ldf
