Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Forums are organisations, appointed by the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health, which give members of the public an effective voice about the way their local healthcare is delivered. There is an independent Forum associated with every NHS Trust and Primary Care Trust in England. PPI Forums are made up of groups of volunteers in your local community who are enthusiastic about helping patients and members of the public shape and influence local healthcare services. The Forums in this area are:
- North Norfolk PPI Forum
- Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital PPI Forum
- Norfolk & Waveney Mental Health Partnership PPI Forum
- East of England Ambulance PPI Forum
The North Norfolk Forum is associated with, but independent of, the North Norfolk Primary Care Trust and covers the same area as North Norfolk District Council.
Meetings in public are held regularly at different venues around the North Norfolk area. Members of the public are warmly encouraged to attend meetings, contribute their views and to raise any issues they may wish the Forum to address.
The members of the North Norfolk PPI Forum are:
- Ann Poberefsky (Chair)
- Clive Griffiths
- David Russell (also a member of the East of England Ambulance PPI Forum)
- Maureen Ford
- Michael Woodroffe
Current issues under consideration by the Forum include:
- Monitoring the proposed development of Cromer & District Hospital
- Taking part in the PCT's formal Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) monitoring visits to GP practices in North Norfolk
