Trees, Landscape and Development
Successful applications may involve tree protection measures being put in place before construction starts, the use of appropriate working methods and submitting a sympathetic landscape scheme.
So that future owners retain trees and landscape features, development is often approved subject to conditions. The application form, help text and validation requirements for No 31 on our Planning Application Forms page should be used to apply for the District Council's permission to work on trees or make changes to the landscape scheme protected by a planning condition. An officer will assess the application and usually respond within 6 weeks.
