Town Strategies
The towns of Cromer, Holt, Fakenham, North Walsham, Sheringham, Stalham and Wells-next-the-Sea play an important part in a sustainable pattern of development in Norfolk.
An exercise was undertaken in each town which:
- identified the roles that each town fulfills;
- established the issues that need to be addressed;
- set out aims for their future development; and
- adopted objectives that will help to achieve these aims.
The documents produced are referred to as 'Whole Settlement Strategies' and previously set the framework for the future planning of each town. These documents helped inform the development of new town strategies and other detailed policies which were published in the Councils Core Strategy.
