Rural Economy Study


NNDC commissioned Acorus Rural Property Services Ltd to undertake a study to inform policies in the Local Development Framework on the rural economy and farm diversification. The study provides an understanding of the changes in farming practices in the district and the likely drivers of change for the future. It assesses current levels of farm diversification and associated employment. The study includes a survey of farmers and other agricultural based industries and assess recent farm based development and planning applications to provide recommendations on policies in the Core Strategy.
