The Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) announced in July 2009 that they were looking to nominate a number of Local Authorities as coastal Pathfinders in order to explore new ways of responding to the challenges faced by coastal communities.

NNDC’s Coastal Change Pathfinder bid Summary gives a synopsis of the full bid.  The full NNDC bid can be read below. It is segregated into separate files for easy downloading. 
 

North Norfolk District Council received a letter from Huw Irranca-Davies the Minister for Marine and Natural Environment in December 2009, congratulating NNDC on its success in its Pathfinder bid.
