LAA

A Local Area Agreement (LAA) has been negotiated for Norfolk. This is a three-year contract between the County Strategic Partnership and central Government, through GO-East.

The main aims of an LAA are:

Deliver genuinely sustainable communities through better outcomes for local people
Improve Central and Local Government relations
Enhance efficiency
Strengthen partnership working
Offer a framework within which local authorities can enhance their community leadership role

The LAA offers the opportunity to reduce bureaucracy around the numerous individual funding streams that come into the County, and allow more flexibility about how the money is spent.

The North Norfolk Community Partnership has been working to demonstrate where its own key projects supports county-wide objectives set out in the Local Area Agreement - NNCP activity to support LAA.
