Call for entries for the Graham Allen Awards 2012
Renovation projects and new buildings that sensitively capture the distinctive character of our local architecture could be in line for a prestigious award from North Norfolk District Council (NNDC).
Entries are now being sought for this year’s Graham Allen Award, the annual NNDC award for excellence in conservation and design. The closing date for entries is 30 June, 2012 and the award will be announced in September.
Inaugurated in 1982 as a memorial to the late GS Allen, the first Chairman of NNDC, the Graham Allen Award recognises the scheme which makes the biggest contribution to North Norfolk’s unique built heritage.
During the lifetime of the awards, a diverse range of projects have been recognised for their excellence, ranging from the new cloisters and refectory building at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham to the innovative design of Curve House at Edgefield, and last year’s winner, the Tithe Barn at Walcott.
