Attendance at the North Norfolk General Election count on 6 May
Representatives of the media who wish to attend the General Election count on 6 May should contact North Norfolk District Council's Communications Team as soon as possible to ensure you will be allowed in on the night.
Any media organisations wishing to send reporters, camera crews and/or other staff to the count at Cromer Sports Hall should give Nick Manthorpe, NNDC's Media Officer, a list of the names and job titles of those who will attend, along with their full daytime contact details.
NNDC will then send official admission cards (valid for those named people only) to you by post by the end of next week (Friday, 30 April). If you have last-minute staffing changes once the cards have been sent, or your cards do not arrive as requested, please contact Nick as early as possible before the count on 01263 516059 or by email at nicholas.manthorpe@north-norfolk.gov.uk
The count will begin at 10pm. Please aim to be in the Sports Hall at around 9.45pm. If you then leave the building before the count is finished, you will not be readmitted. You may wish to bring refreshments with you, as they will not be provided.
You may not pass information to people outside the building about the ongoing results or tallies of the count, before the count is finished. Please also note that you may not film, photograph, or in any way show or record the faces of ballot papers in such a way that they could be read.
Details of those who have been nominated to stand for election, and of the party agents, are available through the following downloads:
