District Council meets problem with garden bin payments30 May, 2007As part of its drive to reduce waste and increase recycling North Norfolk District Council has distributed around 12,500 garden waste bins across the District over the past three years. The garden waste is collected, treated and then returned to the land as compost. Customers pay a subscription fee for the collection service, for which they are invoiced annually.
The Council became aware of the problem over the Bank Holiday weekend and is currently undertaking an investigation to establish the full nature of the fault, following which it will be corrected. Anyone who has received an incorrect invoice is asked to contact North Norfolk District Council by one of the following methods:
