Help and Advice Surgeries End at Holt

9 June, 2005

Surgeries at Holt for people with benefits, council tax, business rates and other inquiries will stop later this month after an eight-month trial, because of lack of demand.

The Holt surgeries have been held at the town's library on Church Street on the first and third Friday of each month, from 10am to 12 noon. The last one will take place on 17 June.

But surgeries will continue at Stalham, where they have been well-used since early 2003. They are held at Stalham Library from 10am to 12 noon on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month.

At the surgeries, NNDC staff are on hand to help with questions about housing and council tax benefits, council tax, business rates, debt recovery (but not council housing rent arrears), rail and bus passes, and car park season tickets. They can also take payments for those things by cheque or debit/credit card (but not cash).

For further information contact Maureen Wells, Business Support Officer, on 01263 516116.
