Office Closures over Christmas and New Year

North Norfolk District Council's offices at Cromer, Fakenham and North Walsham will be closed for the whole week between Christmas and the New Year, the Full Council agreed last night (Thursday, 9 December).

NNDC's offices will close at 3pm on Christmas Eve, 24 December, and re-open on Tuesday, 4 January at 8.30am (Monday, 3 January is a bank holiday).

NNDC's normal services will not be available in between, though emergency procedures will still operate. A recorded message on NNDC's main switchboard number, 01263 513811, will give customers the emergency numbers to call, should they need.

Members of the public will be able to use the District website, www.northnorfolk.org, to get information and to make contact with NNDC (though inquiries made via the site will not be replied to until the New Year).

Full details of Christmas and New Year rubbish collections are also available on that website, posters have been circulated to supermarkets, libraries and parish councils for their noticeboards, and notification of changes to collections will also be given directly to households over the coming days.

The media are asked to remember that officers will be unavailable to help with their inquiries, too. Councillors' contact details can be got from Council yearbooks and from www.northnorfolk.org, though their availability may also be limited.
