Reminder: telephone service for bus passes and railcards

People who live in the east of North Norfolk and want to renew or apply for travel passes and car park season tickets are reminded that the issue and renewal of bus passes, senior railcards and car park season tickets is now carried out at the District Council's offices in Cromer.

Residents are able to obtain all travel passes, cards and season tickets (except for first-time bus passes) by telephoning 01263 516072 on weekdays, excluding Bank Holidays, between 9am and 4pm. The new documents will be sent out in the post.

The services available by telephone are as follows:

Senior Railcards - anyone who wants to buy a senior railcard for the first time should call the number above and have at hand their pension book, medical card or passport. Those wishing to renew their senior railcards will need to refer to their current railcard during the telephone conversation. Payment may be made by debit card, credit card or cheque, which should be made payable to North Norfolk District Council and sent to Cashiers, NNDC, PO Box 2, Holt Road, Cromer, NR27 9EJ. Applicants should write 'Senior Railcard' and their name and address on the back of the cheque.

Bus Passes - anyone who wants to renew their bus pass should call the number above and have their current bus pass and photocard at hand. Alternatively, a resident may send their current bus pass to Cashiers, NNDC, PO Box 2, Holt Road, Cromer, NR27 9EJ, enclosing a note of their home address. Important note: those who wish to apply for a bus pass for the first time must complete an application form and show proof of residence and eligibility at NNDC's offices in North Walsham or Cromer. A passport-size photograph of applicants will also be required.

Car Park Season Tickets - customers who wish to buy or renew a season ticket should call the number above. Payment may be made by debit card, credit card or cheque, which should be made payable to North Norfolk District Council and sent to Cashiers, NNDC, PO Box 2, Holt Road, Cromer, NR27 9EJ. Applicants should write 'Car Park Season Ticket' and their name and address on the back of the cheque.

People who wish to buy their travel passes and car park season tickets with cash should visit the Cash Office at NNDC's offices in Holt Road, Cromer on weekdays, excluding Bank Holidays, between 9 am and 4 pm. Visitors should bring relevant papers, such as current passes and cards, and/or documents proving date of birth e.g. pension book, medical card or passport.
