Important News about our Fundraising Events
The Heritage Lottery Fund informed us in mid-September 2004 that our application for funding had been turned down. This has been a great disappointment for me and my fellow Trustees and indeed all involved in the running of this important museum. We are, however, continuing to press for planning approval for the new gallery and to look for alternative sources of funding. We all still believe that 'The Maria Project' represents good value for money and that it would secure the long term future of the museum. The Trustees have some hard thinking to do and some important decisons will have to be made.
More news will be posted as and when it happens. We would like to thank our architects, the Paul Robinson Partnership for some stunning designs and all those who have supported the museum this far. Stick with us!
