SUMMER REP 2009
A bungling spy, a singing telegram, and a generous helping of sauce feature in the latest play in our summer rep line-up, the fun-filled farce Look, No Hans!
Written by John Chapman and Michael Pertwee and directed by Paston College expressive arts teacher Simon Thompson, the hilarious romp tells the tale of hapless Berlin-based British car company manager Peter Fisher (played by summer rep regular Simon Stanhope), who leads a double life as an industrial spy.
With his wife Monica (Donna Combe) due to fly home to England for a short break, Fisher looks forward to celebrating a quiet birthday. However, a stream of unexpected visitors, including his mistress Heidi (Christine Lawrence), voluptuous singing telegram Mitzi (Caroline Keiff), starchy civil servant Cadwallader (Alistair Scott), Midlands Motors rep Tregunter-Jones (Fiz Marcus) and inept car showroom assistant Kurt (Paston College student James Saddler), conspire to ensure his evening does not go to plan. A fast-paced, fun-filled farce by two masters of the genre.
