Des Barrit kindly gives up his Sunday evening during the Rep season to talk to Artistic Director Debbie Thompson. An informal evening of chat and theatrical gossip with Des as he discusses his career, shares some anecdotes and offers some pearls of advice to all those budding actors.

Des is an Associate Artist of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Award-winning performances include The Tempest, Comedy of Errors and Henry IV Part One & Two. At the National Theatre: Wind in the Willows; A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum; Stuff Happens; Recruiting Officer and The Mountain Giants.

In the West End: Three Men on a Horse; Constant Couple; Black Comedy; Real Inspector Hound; This is Not a Chair and Then Again. On Broadway he played the lead in Alan Bennett's The History Boys, a role he has just re-created again with a West End run at the Wyndham's Theatre.

Television: Dalziel and Pascoe, Midsomer Murders, Poirot, The Bill and A Christmas Carol.
