YOUTH FESTIVAL A Double Bill: "Aunt Albertine's Bench" and " The Emperor's New Clothes"
Saturday 1st March 2008 - 2.30pm & 7.30pm

Presented by The Smugglers Children's Theatre
This year's Smugglers performance is definitely a show of two halves.
The first is a new venture as it is a serious drama called "Aunt Albertine's Bench" written by local author Hazel Randall. The action spans from 1925 to the year 2000 and charts the social history of that period including the introduction of steam through to diesel and the change in children's games and pastimes over the years.
The second half is an all hands on stage for our own version of "The Emperor's New Clothes". Frank and Stein are intent on swindling the emperor and no-one wants to seem stupid so everyone goes along with it.
Tickets £4.00 (under 16s £3.50)
