RODNEY BEWES in
Jerome K Jerome's
ON THE STAGE AND OFF

Rodney Bewes, best remembered as Bob in the BBC's The Likely Lads, makes a triumphant return to Sheringham Little Theatre in the world première of On the Stage and Off.

Based on the theatre writings of Jerome K Jerome, this comedy tells of the trials and tribulations of life as a Victorian actor.

In this hugely funny one-man show, Rodney Bewes plays Jerome K Jerome himself as well as the characters he encounters: theatre managers, landladies, stage door keepers, agents and, of course, actors - from stars to extras, playing parts from high tragedy to low comedy. Slowly he comes to see the glamorous world of showbiz for what it is.

This unmissable event will showcase Bewes' talents as a skilled character actor as he brings to life the colourful and eccentric characters of the Victorian stage with hilarious effect.
