31/07/09 - 1400 Comments Received on the Site Specific Proposals Draft Plan

Many thanks to all those who took part in the consultation on the Site Specific Proposals Draft Plan during June and July. Around 1400 comments were received (over 2100 including petition signatures) and the Planning Policy team are busy considering all them all. All comments have been entered onto the on-line consultation system and are available to view, see: http://consult.north-norfolk.gov.uk/portal

A document has been prepared which provides a summary of each representation received. This document is available to view at Cromer and Fakenham Council offices and can be downloaded below:

What happens next?
Summaries of all comments, and the officers response, will be reported to the LDF Working Party Committee meetings in September and October 2009. The Council will consider these comments and may make changes before submitting the Plan for independent examination. The Working Party committee will consider the comments and proposed amendments to the document on a settlement by settlement basis as follows:

  • Monday 14 September - Weybourne, Cromer, Hoveton, Roughton, Stalham, Tattersett
  • Monday 28 September - Holt, Fakenham, North Walsham, Sheringham, Wells, Catfield, Corpusty, Horning, Ludham, Southrepps
  • Monday 19 October - Aldborough, Bacton, Blakeney, Briston, Happisburgh, Little Snoring, Mundesley, Overstrand, Walsingham
It is intended to submit the plan for examination in early 2010. Copies of all representations received will be provided to the Inspector appointed to examine the Plan, along with a summary of the main issues raised.
