What are we consulting on?
Following the examination of the Core Strategy, the Inspector requested that the issues regarding the Re-use of Rural Buildings as Dwellings be revisited and a new policy produced.
In order to produce a new policy a range of issues and options need to be considered.

North Norfolk District Council is now preparing a Development Plan Document that will set future policy for the conversion of rural buildings to dwellings. This consultation document sets out the background to the review and outlines five possible policy options. These options are illustrative of possible approaches and are presented solely as a means of highlighting issues. A questionnaire accompanying this document asks a number of key questions.

Your feedback will inform the policy approach that this Council will submit to the Secretary of State for independent examination early in 2010.

Planning Officers will be on hand on 9th June at Cromer Council offices for an 'open house' session to discuss the issue from 9am - 5pm.

  • Only comments accompanied by your name and contact address can be accepted.
  • The preparation of documents for the Local Development Framework is a public process and your response cannot be treated entirely as confidential. By submitting a response you are agreeing that your details (including name and address) will be held on the Planning Policy database and that your name along with your comments will be made available for public viewing.
