02/02/08 - Local Development Scheme Revision & New Timetable
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out North Norfolk District Council's programme for the preparation of documents under the new plan-making system. It's purpose is:
- to set out the documents to be prepared and to provide a short description of the content and status and show how they relate to each other;
- to set out how the existing policies and guidance will relate to the new system and which policies will be 'saved' under the 'transitional arrangements';
- to set out a timetable for the preparation of the documents; and,
- to explain how the documents will be monitored and reviewed.
The LDS is a public statement of what we are proposing to do and when, and at what stage individuals and groups can be involved in the plan-making process.

A Fourth Revision of this document is in progress and will be considered by the Council's Cabinet committee on 8th September 2008. This will then be submitted to Government for approval. The proposed document preparation timetable can be viewed below:
