Annual Monitoring Report

An Annual Monitoring Report is published each year which shows how we are keeping to our programme and if the plan's policies are achieving their objectives.

Annual Monitoring Report

Monitoring is an important part of the planning process and plays a critical part in identifying changing situations that may trigger a review of policies. We will prepare Annual Monitoring Reports to assess the extent to which policy objectives are being achieved.

Annual Monitoring Reports (AMRs) are based on the period 1 April to 31 March and are submitted to the Secretary of State no later than the end of December each year.
Annual Monitoring Reports have been published for 2005 and 2006 assessing existing Local Plan policies and explaining how we will meet the requirements for monitoring for future years.
