Core Strategy (incorporating Development Control policies)

The Core Strategy looks at key issues such as what housing and other land uses should be planned for, the role of settlements, how we can protect the environment and reduce the impacts of climate change.

Site Allocation & Boundary Change Representations (Reg 32 & 33)

In response to the consultation on the North Norfolk Submission Core Strategy and Proposals Map (18 Jun - 30 Jul 2007), a number of individuals and organisations put forward their ideas for additional land designations (areas of land set aside for specific long-term uses such as open land areas, employment areas, car parks, town centres etc) and suggested boundary amendments. These representations themselves were subject to a six-week period of consultation ( 20 Aug - 1 Oct 2007) to allow the public and other bodies to put forward their views.

Two types of changes were sought:
  1. Those which seek the inclusion of additional, alternative and amended site designations, and ;
  2. Those which propose alternative boundaries.

The proposed changes were sent to the Planning Inspector, Mr Philip Goodman, who will consider them at the public Examination into the Core Strategy in December 2007, along with all other representations received on the submission Core Strategy. The Inspector may make alterations to the Core Strategy as a result of these suggestions. For further information on the Examination please visit the Examination page.
