Proposals Map
The Proposals Map shows, on an ordnance survey based map, the policy areas stated in the Council's Core Strategy. It will also show sites identified for development based on a range of planning criteria.

The Council maintains an up-to-date Proposals Map which illustrates all the policies set out in Development Plan Documents (DPDs) on an ordnance survey base map. It must be revised as each new Development Plan Document is adopted. The most recent to be adopted is the North Norfolk Core Strategy (Adopted September 2008) and the Proposals Map reflects the situation at this time.
The Proposals Map is currently being updated alongside the Site Specific Proposals Development Plan Document. The amendments to the Proposals Map (included within the Site Specific Proposals Draft Plan document) were open for Public Consultation from 15th June to 31st July 2009. The Draft Plan (incorporating Proposals Map Amendments) will be submitted for examination by an independent Planning Inspector on 5 March 2010.
The Proposals Map will also need to be updated to incorporate newly designated areas for the Conversion & Re-use of Rural Buildings as Dwellings. A Draft Policy covering this issue was published for a six-week period of public consultation from 2 October to 13 November 2009. The Draft Policy (incorporating Proposals Map Amendments) will also be submitted for examination on 5 March.
