Documents will be subject to Sustainability Appraisal which will examine the economic, social and environmental impacts of the proposed policies.
Sustainability Appraisals
Local Development Documents, such as the Core Strategy and the Site Specific Proposals, as well as Supplementary Planning Documents, will be subject to Sustainability Appraisals. These will examine the economic, social and environmental impacts of the proposed policies so we can ensure that all policies will help to achieve sustainable development.
Consultation with key stakeholders on the Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report for the Core Strategy and Site Specific Proposals took place throughout the summer of 2005. The initial Sustainability Reports for the Core Strategy and the Site Specific Proposals Report have been produced and were available for public consultation alongside the preferred options documents. A subsequent Sustainability Appraisal has been prepared for the Submission Core Strategy.
