A vacancy has arisen within our Community Sports Centres contributing towards the organisations continued development as a first class sports service. Ensuring that our sports programme and activities are delivered for high impact outcomes for all sectors of the community is an integral part of these roles.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Sports Centre Supervisor to join the Sports team at Cromer Sports Centre. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Community Sports Manager and be responsible for the day to day operation and management of the Council’s sports facility at Cromer. You will also bring a good knowledge and experience of sports/leisure management, have a relevant sports/business management qualification and demonstrate a high standard of customer care, problem solving and planning skills. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a real commitment to excellence in facility management, administration, health & safety, staff supervision and service delivery.

We are seeking to recruit a Recreation Assistant to join NNDC’s Community Sports team based in North Walsham. The successful candidate will be a frontline member of staff who will deal face to face with members of the public.

Team working is essential and the successful candidate will assist colleagues in order to provide & monitor a variety of activities at our Community Sports Centres. This is an exciting and ideal opportunity to enter the Sports and Leisure industry being part of the Community Sports Team.

A vacancy has arisen within the Postal and Scanning Services team, based in Cromer, providing support to all other services of the Council.

The post will be focussed on providing efficient corporate scanning and indexing services, but duties may also include opening, sorting, delivering, dispatching and providing advice on the postal functions.

With the aim of improving our customer’s experience we are currently making many exciting changes within the Council and you will be joining the team the team at a busy time as we move towards a modern and digital post room.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and make a real contribution to the current team. If you are committed and motivated by a desire to provide excellent customer service this role could be for you. You will be confident in using IT and be quick and accurate in your work. You will work as part of a small team to meet required deadlines; you will therefore need to be flexible in your approach to work.

The Benefits service is looking for a flexible and well organised Team Leader to supervise a small team of Benefit Officers and ensure the efficient administration, determination and payment of claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support. The role will ensure that all assessments are carried out in an accurate and timely manner, comply with Housing Benefit legislation/Local Council Tax Support scheme and meet performance targets.

There are 2 levels in this career graded role, which level the successful candidate will be appointed to will depend on their level of experience and/or qualifications.

The ideal candidate would have in depth Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support knowledge, awareness in regards to the importance of Subsidy as well as experience of supervising, implementing change, performance management, and continuous improvement processes.

Ideally you will be a full IRRV Technician (or possess equivalent experience) have a management qualification and practical working experience of a Revenues and Benefits IT system.

If you have excellent customer service skills and communication skills as well as the ability to effectively manage change, we want to hear from you!

Coaches and Volunteers wanted!

Our Community Sports Team is seeking North Norfolk based sports coaches and activity instructors to join its coach register.  Coaches on the register will be utilised as and when the need arises to help to deliver the Community Sports Teams current and future provision of sporting and physical activity opportunities to the community.  We would be delighted to hear from anybody who wishes to be included on this register.

We are also seeking to add to our pool of volunteers and would love to hear from anybody who may be interested in helping us to deliver our service to the community on a voluntary basis.  A volunteer role with us would suit those who are looking to gain experience in the sports and leisure industry and people with a strong belief in community and community based activities.

Please note volunteers will be required to undertake a satisfactory criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB).
