Planning policy documents 'sound' according to inspector
Two important North Norfolk District Council planning policy documents have been agreed by an inspector, meaning they will be used to shape future development in the District from early next year.

The Site Specific Proposals Draft Plan allocates specific areas of land for different types of new development, such as housing, employment, retail, open space and other uses. The Conversion and Re-use of Rural Buildings as Dwellings Policy sets the policy context for the conversion and re-use of suitably constructed buildings in the countryside for permanent residential purposes (notably barn conversions).
A planning inspector has judged both documents to be ‘sound’ and the Full Council will be asked to adopt them at its meeting on 23 February.
All those who took part in consultations on these policies have been notified of the judgement. The inspector’s reports can be seen or downloaded at www.northnorfolk.org/ldf/reports and copies will be available for members of the public at NNDC’s Cromer and Fakenham offices and in local libraries. If you have queries about the reports please contact NNDC’s Planning Policy Team on 01263 516318.
