Strategic Housing Market Assessment

Our housing policies aim to ensure that the right amount of housing is built, in the right places, and that the housing that is provided is of the right type to address shortages of supply, and to balance our local housing market.  To do this effectively, we need to understand what factors influence the housing market in our area, and identify
  • the likely overall proportions of households that require market or affordable housing
  • the size and type of market housing required
  • the size and type of affordable housing required

Our Strategic Housing Market Assessment covers the three local authority areas forming the Rural East Anglia Partnership (REAP): North Norfolk, Kings Lynn and West Norfolk, and Breckland.  Each of the districts also has its own Housing Need Study, which informs and complements the Strategic Housing Market Assessment.

All of the documents that make up the Strategic Housing Market Assessment are available here to download.
