Welcome to Norfolk's Golden Fleece Heritage Museum

The Museum is housed in a Baptist Chapel
The aim of the Museum is to increase the knowledge and understanding of the history of the textile industry in Norfolk together with the accompanying social, economic and political changes.
The displays in the Baptist Chapel (founded 1717, present building 1829) reflect the Chapel Ministry, the lives of local people, farming and textile production. The "Golden Fleece" name was chosen because of the importance of spinning, weaving and dyeing around the Worstead and north Walsham area prior to the Industrial Revolution. It is usually possible to view the adjacent "Weavers Loft", where members of The Worstead Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, have work in progress.

- Admission is available when the Worstead Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers is meeting (26th July 2008, 9th and 23rd August 2008, 6th and 20th September 2008, 4th and 18th October 2008, 1st, 5th and 29th November 2008 from 2pm to 5pm)
