Welcome to Norfolk's Golden Fleece Heritage Museum

The Museum is housed in a Baptist Chapel
The aim of the Museum is to increase the knowledge and understanding of the history of the textile industry in Norfolk together with the accompanying social, economic and political changes.
The displays in the Baptist Chapel (founded 1717, present building 1829) reflect the Chapel Ministry, the lives of local people, farming and textile production. The "Golden Fleece" name was chosen because of the importance of spinning, weaving and dyeing around the Worstead and north Walsham area prior to the Industrial Revolution. It is usually possible to view the adjacent "Weavers Loft", where members of The Worstead Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, have work in progress.
