North Norfolk Safety Advisory Group

The North Norfolk Safety Advisory Group advises on a number of issues relating to events

North Norfolk District Council recognises that whilst public events can enhance community life there is potential for risks to public safety and adverse environmental effects posed by the numbers of people attending such events unless proper management is in place.

In recognition of this, a Safety Advisory Group (SAG) has been established.

The Safety Advisory Group has a core membership of:

  • North Norfolk District Council
  • Norfolk County Council
  • Norfolk Constabulary
  • Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service
  • East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust
  • Other stakeholders will be included as necessary depending on the nature of the event

The Safety Advisory Group helps "promote the health, safety and welfare" of all those involved with public events.

If you are intending to hold an event (large or small), you should contact the Safety Advisory Group well in advance to discuss details.

In general the SAG considers large scale public events, although smaller events may require the involvement of the SAG depending on the event.
