Safer Food Better Business Training
Food business operators must have a written food safety management system that details all the checks needed to ensure the food they sell is safe. Failure to comply may mean your business and custom suffers. If you use Safer Food Better Business (SFBB) properly you will comply with this requirement. We strongly recommend SFBB for catering and retail food businesses.
We now hold workshops in food safety management based on the "Safer Food, Better Business" pack. SFBB is a simple and practical approach to food safety management. Businesses helped design the pack so it is business friendly and easy to use. Hundreds of businesses in Norfolk already use it to make sure the food they sell is safe to eat. They have been helped by attending workshops arranged as part of two Food Standards Agency projects run by local councils.
Managers, chefs and other supervisory staff can come along and learn how to adapt, fill in and use the pack. It is especially suitable for new businesses, new managers of existing businesses or if you want to make sure your SFBB pack is being used properly.
The workshop costs £45 and is followed by a free coaching session in your own business to help you put it into practice. A maximum of two members of staff from each business can attend the workshop.
The courses are held at the Council Offices, Holt Road, Cromer. If you require advice or more information on the course please ring the Commercial Team. A minimum of 6 businesses are required for each course to be run. The next courses will be held at the Council Offices on the following dates:
- Wednesday 20th October 2010 from 1.30pm to 4.30pm
- Wednesday 24th November 2010 from 9.30pm to 12.30pm
To book a place on the course contact the Commercial Team on (01263) 516008. Please note that refunds will not be made for requests to change attendance dates, cancellation of course attendance or non-attendance of courses less than 7 days before the course takes place.
