Welcome to our website.

From October 2007 Fr. Peter will be priest-in-charge of St. Joseph's, Sheringham as well as paish priest of Our Lady of Refuge,Cromer. This is a temporary arrangement which will last until the autmn of 2008 when the parishes will be formally united under a new parish priest.

New Parish Priest named. We are pleased to announce that Bishop Michael Evans has appointed Fr. Denys Lloyd as Parish Priest of the new, merged parish as from the first week in September. Fr. Loyd is at present parish priest of Stowmarket in Suffolk.

How to find us:
Take the coast road to Overstrand from Cromer town centre. You will find the church about a mile fom the town, on the left and immediately past the Royal Cromer Golf Club. The car park for the church is a few yards beyond the church.

We have permission to use the Golf Club car park on Saturday evenings - but NOT on Sundays!

Times of Sunday and Holyday Masses


Cromer and Sheringham parishes are united into one parish under a new parish priest.






Times of daily Mass at Cromer and Sheringham are to be found in the weekly parish bulletin, copies of which are to be found in the church porch and on this website under "Our Weekly Newsletter". They can be found also on the Sheringham website under "Parish Newsletter".

The Cromer church is normally open from 7.00 am to dusk each day.

Confessions
Saturdays 10.00am - 10.30am in the sacristy and before evening Mass. Penitential Services, with individual confession, are arranged in the parish during Advent and Lent.

Other foreign nationals are requesed to get in touch with the parish and we will do all we can to welcome them.

Parishioners should also make other language groups known to the parish.






BAPTISMS. At least one months notice is required for the Sacrament of Baptism. Parents need to be in a position where they can bring up their children by their instruction, encouragement and example. At least one Godparent should be a Roman Catholic. See the priest or deacon to arrange the necessary instruction(s). Those who live outside this parish must approach their own parish priest and obtain his written permission for the Baptism to take place here.




MARRIAGES. By diocesan law, atleast six months notice is required for the celebration of the Sacrament of Matrimony. Those who live outside this parish are required to approach their own parish priest for the necessary instructions and for the required paperwork to be completed.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Catholic Church and its teaching, we warmly invite you to speak to Fr. Peter or Deacon Ron. Even if you have no intention of becoming a Catholic, you may find it useful and interesting to find out more about the Church.

You would be very welcome to come to Mass to see experience Catholic worship. The Sunday morning service at 9.00 am has music, and you will find it easy to slip into the crowd without any fuss. We try to make everyone feel welcome, and part of the great family of God's children.
