How Council Tax is spent on Local Services
Each £1 of collected Council Tax is split between the following:
76p - Norfolk County Council

2p - Town and Parish Councils
The money that is received by Norfolk County Council is to pay for services such as Education, Social Services, Waste Disposal, Libraries, Fire and Rescue.
The money that is received by Norfolk Police Authority goes towards providing policing across Norfolk.

Enclosed with your Council Tax bill is our leaflet, 'How your money is spent on local services 2011-2012'. This leaflet is updated every year to include changes to figures and information. It is intended to give you a greater understanding of the services that are provided by Norfolk County Council, Norfolk Police Authority and ourselves.
