Scrutiny at North Norfolk

Introduction

This is the third annual report by North Norfolk District Council's Scrutiny Committee. The report explains the background to scrutiny and the scrutiny arrangements at North Norfolk District Council. It summarises scrutiny activity from May 2005 to April 2006 and highlights the Scrutiny Committee's plans and projects for the future. You can read the full report by clicking the links below 'Report Contents'. Alternatively, you can download a PDF version of the report below:

Norfolk Scrutiny Network Conference

The Norfolk Scrutiny Network, of which NNDC is a member, held its third Conference at the University of East Anglia on 16 November 2007. For the County's Scrutineers the event represented an excellent opportunity to network, share experiences and ideas of Best Practice and learn. Chaired by the EDP's Shaun Lowthorpe, the conference included presentations from the Centre for Public Scrutiny, IDeA and Scrutineers from member councils. A report from the Conference gives a flavour of what is happening in Scrutiny in Norfolk as well as the developments which will be brought about by the LGPIH Act.
