Wells TIC

Wells next the sea is a small traditional working fishing port with stunning award winning beaches nearby. Wells next the Sea is renown for its multi-colored beach huts. The coastal town and surrounding countryside is often featured in photographs and the area is well used by film and TV series makers for the outstanding scenery.

By Train
Wells-next-the-sea does not have a rail station. The nearest mainline station is Sheringham, a 40 minute bus journey. National and local rail information is available from National Rail enquiries on 0845 60077245.

By Bus
There are 6 routes serving Wells provided by a number of operators. Regional and local services are offered by Sanders Coaches, Norfolk Green and Coasthopper. For more information visit Traveline or call 0870 6082608.

By Bike
There are a number of cycle routes in North Norfolk. Regional route 30 is the main cycle route along the Norfolk coast, running from Great Yarmouth to Wells and Fakenham. Visit the Sustrans website for more information.

You can also carry your bike on the train, but be sure to check with your operator prior to travel.

On Foot
From The Quay, take Staithe Street away from the sea front, the Tourist Information Centre is located on the right. From Station Road, take Staithe Street towards the sea front, the Tourist Information Centre is located on the left.
