Local Services
This page lists some of the local service providers you might need to deal with if you live in the area. Some services are provided by the local council, for example council tax, planning or electoral registration. You might find it useful to see our A-Z of Council Services - this will show you which services are provided and by which council (ie parish, district or county).
Fire Service

Gas and Electricity providers
Ofgem is the regulator for Britain's gas and electricity industries. You can visit their site at http://www.ofgem.gov.uk/ for lists of gas and electricity providers, which are available in MS Word and PDF documents.
Health care
A list of local doctors and dentists can be found on the NHS website and you can search by postcode or area. You might also be interested in the Health and Welfare pages on this website.
Police
The Norfolk constabulary website is at http://www.norfolk.police.uk/ which you might find useful. To contact Norfolk Constabulary you can call 01953 424242, or text 07786 200777 but in an emergency, always call 999.
This website also contains information about local community safety and crime reduction.
Water
Drains are owned and managed by Anglian Water - tel. 08457 145 145 or visit http://www.anglianwater.co.uk/ for more information. If you have problems with drainage and you would like help in identifying the problem, the district council can often provide some advice, see the drainage and sewerage page.
