Latest Election results

An election was held on Thursday 15 October for the District Council Ward of The Runtons, following the resignation of Councillor Vic Saunders for health reasons.

Councillor Saunders had represented the Runtons since 2007, and had served on the board of the Victory Housing Trust and on North Norfolk District Council's Licensing and Appeals Committee.

Nominations were received by 12 noon on Friday 4 September.

An election was held on Thursday, 1 October for the District Council Ward of Walsingham, following the death in April of long-standing Councillor Tom Moore.

Councillor Moore had served as an independent member of North Norfolk District Council since its inception in 1973, and held a variety of influential positions, including being Chairman in 1998/99.

Because of a resignation at Stody Parish Council a vacancy was advertised and an election requested.

The poll for this by-election was on 1 October 2009 at the Village Hall Hunworth, when polling took place between the hours of 7am to 10 pm.
