Fakenham Connect office
Fakenham Connect offers face-to-face information, help and advice about Council and community services.
Services available are:
- council tax
- housing and council tax benefit
- rubbish collection and recycling,
- local transport
- building control and planning
- obtain Bus passes (we have facilities to take photos for the bus pass on site)
- obtain car park season tickets
On behalf of Norfolk County Council:

Fakenham Connect opening hours
Monday - Thursday 8.30 am to 5 pm
Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
The Fakenham Town Council are based in the same building as Fakenham Connect and is open from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 1pm. Victory Housing Trust is also based in the same building

By Car
From Kings Lynn - Approaching Fakenham on the A148, at the Hillside roundabout (signed to Fakenham Town Centre) go straight across. Continue to the mini-roundabout and go straight across. Immediately after the zebra crossing, turn right and continue for approx a quarter of a mile - turn left into the road between the Library and Drifters Fish and Chip Shop - we are located in the building on the left hand side at the top of the hill. Parking is available in front of the building.
From Norwich - Approaching Fakenham on the A1067, go straight across at the roundabout, continue for approx 1 mile to the traffic lights. Go straight ahead, taken the first turning on the left and continue for about a quarter of a mile. Turn left into the road between the Library and Drifters Fish and Chip Shop - we are located in the building on the left hand side at the top of the hill. Parking is available in front of the building.
From Swaffham – Follow the A1065 to the roundabout signposted to Fakenham Town Centre. Take the third exit and go straight across at the mini roundabout. Immediately after the zebra crossing, turn right and continue for approx a quarter of a mile - turn left into the road between the Library and Drifters Fish and Chip Shop - we are located in the building on the left hand side at the top of the hill. Parking is available in front of the building.
From Cromer - Follow the A148 to the roundabout signposted to Fakenham Town Centre. Take the first exit and go straight across at the mini roundabout. By Bus
There are a number of routes serving Fakenham, provided by a number of operators. National Express provide coach routes in Norfolk, and regional and local services are offered by First. For more information visit Traveline or call 0870 6082608.
Fakenham connect is conveniently located near Oak Street bus station, and can be accessed from the Old Post Office bus station (Queens Road). For directions see ‘on foot’, below.
By Bike
National Cycle Route 1 runs to Fakenham from Norwich through Reepham and Great Ryburgh, and on to Wells and King’s Lynn. National route 13 links Fakenham with East Dereham and villages to the South. See the Sustrans website for more information.
On Foot
From the Market Place: You will find an ornate timbered archway next to the Factory Shop, which leads to the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul. Take the steps to your right through the archway and follow the path by the churchyard. At the end of the churchyard railings there is a red brick wall on your left, where you will find an arched opening. This provides access between the back of the churchyard grounds and alongside the Community Centre building. Follow the path until you reach the front of the Community Centre building. Fakenham Connect is the building beyond the Community Centre. The office entrance is just beyond the circular garden and paved area.
From Queens Road car park: You will find the entrance to a pathway towards the rear of the car park on your right. Enter the pathway turning left. The end of the path brings you out at the rear of the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul. Just across the path to your right you will find an arched opening in the red brick wall next to the end of the churchyard railings, which provides access alongside the Community Centre. Follow the path until you reach the front of the Community Centre building. Fakenham Connect is the building beyond the Community Centre. The office entrance is just beyond the circular garden and paved area.
From Oak Street bus station: Walk up Oak Street (B1146) heading North away from the marketplace. You will pass a large supermarket on your left. After about 100 metres take the first right (between Drifters Fish and Chip shop and the Library). The office is located on the corner of the road, with the entrance opposite to you.
