Salary up to £19,126 per annum (pro rata)(subject to job evaluation)

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated and communicative person to undertake the role of Foreshore Officer for the forthcoming season.

Based at Cromer. this post offers a varied workload to cover the peak tourism period which this year is based over 21 weeks (18 April to 9 September 2012).  Hours will consist of an average of 25 hours per week, approximately 5 hours over 5 days which will include weekends and bank holidays, however, working hours will be flexible according to operational demands.

Key elements of the post include - facilitating the letting of weekly let chalets and huts including cleaning and basic maintenance, acting as a point of reference for public enquiries, and liaison with others involved in beach related work.  The successful applicant will be expected to take an active part in helping to ensure the health and safety of promenade and beach users.  As this post acts as a point of contact on the foreshores and promenades the successful applicant will have experience of working and communicating with a wide variety of people in a number of ways.  The successful candidate must also understand the importance of customer care, be methodical and well organised in their approach to work.

The majority of hours will be spent based in Cromer but some time will be spent at Sheringham and Mundesley, therefore access to personal transport is essential.
