Equality

We aim to find ways to support groups who are disadvantaged or excluded, promote inclusivity and celebrate diversity.

This is our Combined Equality Scheme which sets out the key equality issues for North Norfolk and the action we intend to take over the next 3 years.

Annual Equality Report

North Norfolk District Council  publishes an Annual Equality Report, which provides information about what the Council is doing to improve the accessibility of council services, improve community cohesion and bring together people from different backgrounds, increase awareness and understanding of diversity and equality issues across the council and the community as a whole and ensures that the Council is a fair and supportive employer.

    The Equality Act 2010 requires the Council to deliver the three aims of public sector duty.

  • Objectives

    The development of the Council’s equality objectives has been integrated within our usual business planning cycle through the production of our corporate plan for 2012-2015.

  • Hate Crime

    People can experience hate crime or incidents because of an actual or perceived aspect of their appearance or lifestyle.
