Sports Development

Active North Norfolk (formerly Active Norfolk) is our community sports network. It includes members from
  • North Norfolk District Council
  • Active Norfolk County Sports Partnership
  • Schools
  • DC Leisure
  • County Council Youth Services
  • Local Area Partnerships
  • Primary Care Trust

The main objective of the partnership is to collectively work towards shared goals and objectives sharing resources and expertise. Funding can be drawn from Active Norfolk, Sport England, Awards for all and activities must respond to the active peoples survey which states that only 18.5% of Norfolk residents complete 3x30 minutes of moderate activity each week and this compares to a national average of 20.5%.

Meetings are held every quarter at different venues:

  • Splash Leisure and Fitness Centre
  • Fakenham (meeting places vary)
