Over 100 motorcycles dating from 1920s to the mid 1960s, including some rare models. Also around 100 old bicycles dating from 1899 to the 1950s and die cast toys from the 1930s to 1950s.

The Poppy Line is a heritage railway and working museum rolled into one!  You’ll enjoy spectacular views as the train runs along the coast from Sheringham to Weybourne and up through the heathland to Holt.  The William Marriott Museum at Holt, named after the man who built the railway and ran it for forty years, shows how the railway was the area’s lifeline, giving birth to tourism in North Norfolk.

Train admission prices (all-day hop-on, hop-off Rover tickets): Adults £10.50, Senior Citizen £9.50, Children (5-15) £7, Children under 5 free, Family (2 adults + 2 children, or 3 adults + 1 child) £35 including £5 voucher to spend at station catering outlets and shops (exc. Weybourne bookshop).
William Marriott Museum admission £1, children under 15 free.

Opening
Opening hours: steam trains most days 1 April - 30 October, plus Santa Specials (see timetable leaflet). Special events throughout the year - see timetable and guide.
The William Marriott Museum is open from March to October when steam trains are running.

Our ‘Treasures in Store’ museum houses majestic old road steam engines, mechanical organs, Wurlitzer organ and old-fashioned fairground carousels. Live Wurlitzer shows and music from mechanical pipe organs.  Traditional Norfolk farm buildings have been transformed into a small village with a touch of Charles Dickens’ England, and house the Thursford gift shops, café/coffee shop, ice cream parlour and our famous Christmas shop.
