Village Hall
Day to day running costs of the Village Hall come from the precept, with a specific budget allocation each year. Income from hirings and fund raising events is set aside for capital projects and to fund improvements. The hall was re-decorated in 2006 with new curtains, new chairs, and work was completed in the autumn of 2007 to provide a wheelchair accessible toilet, with improvements to the foyer area - see picture above. The latest project was to connect the hall to mains drainage, as part of the new sewerage scheme, and also fit a water meter.
The hall is available for hire at reasonable rates. Session times are: Morning (9a.m. to 1p.m.), Afternoon (2p.m. to 6p.m.) and Evening (7p.m. to 11p.m.). Following on from the succesful Games Evenings, now regularly held on the last Friday in each month, a Table Tennis Club has started - on Thursday evenings (except the 1st Thursday each month).
