Jubilee Hall, Banningham - The "Village Hall"
Day to day running costs of the Village Hall come from the precept, with a specific budget allocation each year. Income from hirings and fund raising events is set aside for capital projects and to fund improvements. The hall was re-decorated in 2006 with new curtains, new chairs, and work was completed in the autumn of 2007 to provide a wheelchair accessible toilet, with improvements to the foyer area - see picture above. The latest project was to connect the hall to mains drainage, as part of the new sewerage scheme, and also fit a water meter.
The hall is available for hire at reasonable rates. Session times are: Morning (9a.m. to 1p.m.), Afternoon (2p.m. to 6p.m.) and Evening (7p.m. to 11p.m.). Charges are:
Three sessions (all day) £50.00
Two sessions (afternoon/evening) £36.00
One session (i.e. evening to 11p.m.) £25.00
Extra hour to midnight £ 6.00
Hourly rate £10.00
The Village Hall also contains the Sandy Lane Club bar, which is available to hirers of the hall. Drinks are at very competitive prices! For further information contact David on 07860 498729
Following on from the succesful Games Evenings, now regularly held on the last Friday in each month, a Table Tennis Club has started - on Thursday evenings (except the 1st Thursday each month). For further information, please contact Roy Banks 01263 735932.
