Casual Vacancy

There is currently one vacant seat on the Parish Council. So long as you fulfil the age (over -18) and residency requirements (1 year in the parish) you are eligible. No previous experience is necessary, as training is available. If you are interested, please contact one of the Councillors (see the Parish Councillors page for contact details) or the Clerk (contact details on the home page). Written applications by 6 April 2010 please.

Village Green The Parish Council now owns Banningham Village Green, after having maintained it for at least 50 years!

Wild About Colby or "WAC" for short.

This group was formed to look at all aspects of environment and wildlife in the parish. Recent events have included an Owl Day, and a Bat Day - more events are planned for the future. We will include regular updates on this website in due course.

Parish Precept for 2010/11

Good News! The Parish Council carefully considered all the general administrative costs, on-going projects and the usual allowance for contingencies. Careful budget monitoring during the current financial year has helped too. Also there will be a contribution from the Village Hall of £1000 from the hall hire income. All this has resulted in a lower precept of £14,250.
