Expressions of interest are invited from suitably experienced engineering contractors wishing to be considered to tender for coastal defence works.

It is intended to have three separate lists of approved contractors covering the following works cost bands

• Up to £250,000
• From £250,001 to £1,000,000
• From £1,000,001 to the EU threshold

Those applying will be asked to complete a questionnaire providing details of the company.

The list will remain in place for a period of three years and the estimated value of works that will be let over that period is £3.174million

The Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO) is seeking tenders from organisations to carry out the new Place Surveys using a postal questionnaire. ESPO intends to establish a national framework comprising a number of suitably experienced firms.

In addition, ESPO is acting on behalf of a consortium of up to 8 local authorities in the Norfolk area in who have a specific requirement to undertake place surveys throughout the county starting in August 2008.

The surveys must be produced and despatched in line with national guidance and specification using the tools and templates provided by DCLG. All firms expressing an interest will have the option of tendering for the specific Norfolk requirement, and/or for a position on the national framework.

Please quote ESPO contract reference 975 in your request, and note that the closing date for receipt of completed tenders is Monday 30th June 2008 (5pm).
