Local Enterprise Partnerships
Following the emergency budget in June 2010 the new Coalition Government announced the future abolition of regional structures including government offices and development agencies. It is the government’s intention to reform the system of sub-national economic development and replace the Regional Development Agencies with local enterprise partnerships (LEPs).
